2016 and all's well

After my falling off the blogging bandwagon (and into the laziness ditch) and off of the healthy bandwagon and into the sloth and gluttony ditch, I'm back at it. My New Year's Resolution is to spend time every day working toward a goal of mine. This is time not spent on my obligations (work, chores, etc.), but time on doing things that I want to do to improve myself.

These goals include:
1. Working on my health by going to the gym.
2. Working on new cooking projects, especially low-FODMAP cooking.
3. Learning more about public health and public policy.
4. Writing projects (novel, blogs)

To these ends,  I have done the following:
1. Signed up for two classes on Coursera. Last session, I found two to be too many, so we'll see if I can handle them both.
2. Experimented with French pastry (on hold until I've figured out my oven thermostat)
3. Come back here.
4. Written about 1500 words in my novel.
5. I am cooking regularly. I have a batch of Eternal Soup going. It is currently 50-50 hobo stew and minestrone.
6. I have only been to the gym once. I must rectify this situation.
